Borders

If your story or poem is only one page long, try a border!

Is your story about spring soccer? Draw some soccer balls and grass.  Maybe some blue and green squiggly lines will work, too.

Use small symbols and colors that compliment and illustrate your words.  These don’t need to be big and complicated illustrations.  They just need to give your reader a little suggestion of what the story or poem is about.
