How to get into a Winter mood—Early

story_elves_winter_mood_1_web

In the workshop, we have to be well organized and prepared!  This means we sometimes have to work on Winter projects before any snow or cold arrives.  How do you start a Winter feeling if the warm sun is shining and butterflies are fluttering by?

We have a variety of tricks up our striped sleeves.  One of the quickest ways to propel us into another time is music.  Familiar songs transports us in an instant, and we have so much elven music from which to choose.

Decorations that herald the season are also employed.  Zoebella the writer elf is especially fond of tiny lights and candles to help set a cozy Winter mood.

A taste of a freshly baked ginger snap and a sip of hot cocoa are not only delicious, but also good for shifting a Summer imagination into a cool, snow-covered space.
